6. IRDAI Reforms July 2026: Perpetual Registration and PEPF

  • On 28 July 2026 IRDAI approved the Policyholders' Education and Protection Fund Regulations with an initial corpus of ₹800 crore.
  • Intermediaries move to perpetual registration with an annual fee instead of periodic renewals.

13. SHANTI Campaign: India’s Bid for UNSC Seat 2028-29

  • EAM S. Jaishankar launched SHANTI on 13 July 2026 at UN Headquarters, opening India's campaign for a 2028-29 UNSC non-permanent seat.

15. Agricultural R&D Funding: Case for Research-Led Resilience
