The International Congress of Mathematicians in Philadelphia presented four 2026 Fields Medals on 23 July 2026.
About the Fields Medal
- Nicknamed the Nobel Prize of Mathematics; honours achievement so far and promise.
- Presented by the International Mathematical Union (IMU), once in four years.
- Dates from 1936, funded by a trust created by Canadian mathematician John Charles Fields at Toronto.
