2. PARIVARTAN Scheme: Replacing Old Polluting NCR Trucks and Buses

PARIVARTAN is a Central scheme of MoHUA to speed up replacement of old polluting trucks and buses in the NCR.
Vehicles bought in place of the old ones must meet BS-VI norms or be electric.
MoHUA approved the scheme's operational guidelines in July 2026.
It adds a positive incentive to scrap and replace, unlike the mostly restrictive earlier tools.

3. Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme Gets Rs 62,500 Crore

The Union Cabinet cleared the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) with Rs 62,500 crore.
It will run for five years, FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31.
