The Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE) issued a first-of-its-kind Code of Conduct for RegTech firms.
RegTech firms must fully cooperate with regulators, giving access to IT systems, data and vendor information.
FACE member firms must adopt the code within 6 months.

TRAI held a multi-regulator meeting on 22 July 2025.

6. RBI Financial Inclusion Index Rises to 70.0 for FY26

The RBI's FI-Index for FY26 stood at 70.0 (March 2026), up 4.48% from 67.0 a year earlier.
The index weights Access 35%, Usage 45% and Quality 20% across 97 indicators.
Final SNFA norms take effect on 1 October 2026 under the Resolution of Stressed Assets Directions, 2025.
Regulated entities cannot sell an SNFA back to the defaulting borrower or related parties.

7. CoinDCX Bounty Programme After $44 Million Crypto Theft

CoinDCX lost crypto assets worth $44 million from its treasury on 19 July 2025.
The loss was met from internal reserves and customer wallets were unaffected.
Its bounty offers up to 25% of recovered assets to ethical hackers and security experts who help trace and recover funds.
CoinDCX was founded in 2018, is FIU-registered and has over 13 million users.

Phase IV of RRB consolidation under One State-One RRB cut their number from 43 to 28.

10. India’s millet standards recognised at Codex Executive Committee

India's leadership on whole millet grain standards was appreciated at the 88th Codex Alimentarius Commission Executive Committee session in Rome.
FSSAI set group standards for 15 types of millets, covering 8 quality parameters.
India produces 38.4% of global millets (FAO, 2023).
India exported 1.46 lakh metric tonnes of millets in FY24, worth USD 70.89 million.

11. Price Deficiency Payment Scheme for Andhra Totapuri Mangoes

On July 22, 2025 the Centre approved PDPS for 162,500 metric tonnes of Andhra Pradesh Totapuri mangoes.
It operates under the Market Intervention Scheme after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's appeal to Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
PDPS pays farmers the gap between market price and a pre-decided floor price (MIP).
Unlike MSP procurement, no physical lifting of produce is involved.

12. AI, IoT and Drones in Indian Agriculture: Schemes and Subsidies

Kisan e-Mitra is a voice-based AI chatbot in 11 regional languages, mainly for PM-KISAN queries, with over 95 lakh queries answered.
The National Pest Surveillance System uses AI image recognition and covers 61 crops and over 400 pest species.
Namo Drone Didi (2023-26) has a ₹1,261 crore outlay and aims to give 15,000 drones to women SHGs.
Under SMAM, ICAR, KVKs and SAUs get 100% drone subsidy up to ₹10 lakh per drone.

Yard 3034 Ajay is the eighth and final ship of the ASW Shallow Water Craft series.
It was built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata.
The vessel has over 80% indigenous content.
It is fitted with waterjet propulsion, hull-mounted sonar and a Low Frequency Variable Depth Sonar.
