1. SAMPANN Pension Platform Shared With Goa and Cochin Port

  • Centre signed agreements to provide SAMPANN as Platform-as-a-Service to the Goa government and Cochin Port Authority.
  • SAMPANN (System for Accounting and Management of Pension) was launched on 29 December 2018 by the Department of Telecommunications.
  • It pays about ₹1,650 crore a month and has disbursed over ₹72,000 crore so far.
  • Pension money goes straight to pensioners' bank accounts, curbing ghost pensioners.

6. SDL Benchmark Issuance Strategy: RBI Pilot in Nine States

  • RBI launched a pilot Benchmark Issuance Strategy for State Development Loans from Q1 FY27.

11. INS Aridhaman Commissioned: Third Arihant-Class SSBN

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh presided over the commissioning of INS Aridhaman (S4) at Visakhapatnam in a low-key ceremony.
  • It is India's third nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN), after INS Arihant (2016) and INS Arighaat (2024).
  • Aridhaman displaces about 7,000 tonnes with more missile tubes, versus about 6,000 tonnes for the first two boats.
  • The follow-on boat S4*, tentatively Arisudan, is already in sea trials.
