1. e-Sushrut@Clinic: C-DAC’s Light HMIS for Small Health Centres

  • The Health Ministry will launch e-Sushrut@Clinic, a lightweight cloud HMIS built by C-DAC for small outpatient clinics, sub-centres and PHCs.
  • NHA is rolling it out under an NHA-C-DAC MoU signed in August 2025; C-DAC handles upkeep.
  • It is a lighter version of e-Sushrut HMIS, which runs at 17 AIIMS and over 4,000 health facilities.
  • ABDM was launched on 27 September 2021; ABHA is a 14-digit health ID.

5. Rural Internal Audit Portal: AI-Enabled Audit Platform Launched

  • Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the AI-enabled Rural Internal Audit Portal on 28 June 2026 at RGVS 2026, Pusa Campus, New Delhi.
  • It manages risk-based and compliance audits end to end; the CCA office of MoRD conceived it and NIC developed it.
  • Piloted in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh on 1 April 2025, all core modules ran from October 2025.
  • VB-G RAM G, replacing MGNREGA, starts 1 July 2026 with 125 guaranteed workdays.

6. DIKSHA: India’s National Digital School Education Platform

  • DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) was launched on 5 September 2017 by then Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
  • NCERT spearheads it with CIET under the Ministry of Education; it is hosted on NIC infrastructure and built on open-source Sunbird.
  • Since May 2020 it has been the designated One Nation, One Digital Platform for schooling, within PM e-Vidya.
  • It supports 135 languages (128 Indian, 7 foreign) and over 614 virtual laboratories.

8. Operation Amistad: India’s Relief Mission for Quake-Hit Venezuela

  • India launched Operation Amistad, a HADR mission for Venezuela, on 26 June 2026 after two strong earthquakes there.
  • Two IAF C-17 Globemaster III aircraft flew about 14,300 km with a 41-member medical team and about 35 tonnes of relief.
  • The cargo included 6 tonnes of medicines and two BHISHM Cubes under Project Aarogya Maitri.
  • The earthquakes killed over 920 people and injured over 4,300.

9. Rewa Sundarja Mango: First Commercial GI Export to UAE via APEDA

  • On 26 June 2026 APEDA helped dispatch the maiden commercial lot of Rewa Sundarja, a GI-tagged mango of Madhya Pradesh, to the UAE.
  • The 1-tonne consignment shipped via Varanasi Airport; farmers got ₹150/kg, a ₹40-50/kg premium over the local rate.
  • Rewa Sundarja received its GI tag in 2023.
  • APEDA was created on 13 February 1986 under the APEDA Act of 1985 and sits within the Commerce Ministry.

10. NABARD-BIRD GI Training at Namsai: Post-GI Livelihoods

  • BIRD Kolkata, a NABARD training institute, ran a three-day programme on GI and post-GI livelihood initiatives at Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, 17-19 June 2026.
  • Participants were NGOs, FPOs and OFPOs from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
  • Khaw Tai (Khamti Rice), a GI-tagged Arunachal variety, was cited as an example of scaling up while keeping quality.
  • Officials stressed that GI is only a milestone; commercial success needs scale and quality.
