The Rural Development Ministry unveiled a single digital platform for internal audits, just before the new rural employment mission begins on 1 July 2026.

- Type: first-of-its-kind unified, AI-enabled portal for risk-based and compliance audits.
- Origin: conceived by the Chief Controller of Accounts office, MoRD; developed and hosted by the National Informatics Centre.
- Timeline: pilot in Chandauli district on 1 April 2025; core modules live October 2025.
- Next step: the Controller General of Accounts gave in-principle approval on 9 December 2025 for rollout across all civil ministries, making it a benchmark for internal audit governance.

Technology and security
- Hosted on NIC infrastructure with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Three environments: development, user acceptance testing and production.
- Safeguards: access control, monitoring, API integrations, audit logs, periodic security checks, daily backups and disaster recovery.
Background: VB-G RAM G
- Based on the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025; replaces MGNREGA, 2005; effective 1 July 2026; run by MoRD.
- 125 days of work per rural household each year (earlier 100) for adults doing unskilled manual work.
- A 60-day aggregate no-work window in peak sowing and harvest, leaving a 305-day effective work period.
- Weekly wage payment (within a fortnight); planning through Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans linked to PM Gati Shakti; national aggregation through the Viksit Bharat National Rural Infrastructure Stack.
