3. PMIS App: Prime Minister Internship Scheme Goes Mobile

  • Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will launch the PMIS app, developed by BISAG, for youth to register and apply for internships.
  • PMIS, announced in Budget 2024-25, targets internships for one crore youth in the top 500 companies over five years.
  • The MCA began the pilot on 3 October 2024; ₹840 crore was allocated and ₹48 crore spent so far.
  • The first PMIS facilitation centre will open in Kolkata, set up by MCA with CII.

12. India Economy Check: Inflation, IIP and Mutual Fund Trends
