6. RBI Draft: Small NBFCs Exempt From Registration (Type I)
- RBI's draft proposes registration exemption for small NBFCs with no public funds and no customer interface.
- Asset size must be below ₹1,000 crore; such entities become Unregistered Type I NBFCs.
- Comments close 4 March and the norms are proposed from 1 April.

10. Mangrove Clam Breeding: CMFRI Achieves a First
- ICAR-CMFRI achieved induced breeding of the mangrove clam in captivity, called a rare global breakthrough in molluscan aquaculture.
- Scientific name is Geloina erosa; in Kerala it is known as Kandal Kakka.
- It lives in mangrove and estuarine zones of South and Southeast Asia, in muddy, organic-rich sediment.

- CAFE-III, India's third round of fuel efficiency norms, is set for FY28 to FY32.

12. Lyriothemis keralensis: New Dragonfly Species from Kerala
- Lyriothemis keralensis is a newly described dragonfly species from Kerala.
- It belongs to the genus Lyriothemis and the order Odonata.
- The species is endemic to Kerala, and the name keralensis points to its place of origin.
- Odonata insects are indicators of healthy freshwater ecosystems.
