4. SEBI Category-I Merchant Banker Licence for Zerodha Arm

  • Zerodha Corporate Advisors, a Zerodha subsidiary, now holds a SEBI-issued Category-I merchant banking licence.
  • Only Category I may handle main-board public issues and underwriting; Category II is not permitted to run such issues.
  • Minimum net worth is ₹50 crore for Category I (earlier ₹5 crore) and ₹10 crore for Category II.
  • Zerodha will begin with IPOs, follow-on public offers and advisory work.
