1. PM SHRI Scheme: Kerala Joins, Calling It Tactical

Kerala's General Education Minister V. Sivankutty called the State's decision to join PM SHRI a tactical move against denial of education funds.
CPI and other Left allies criticised the scheme over its perceived ideological motives.
PM SHRI was launched in September 2022 and is funded by Centre and States in a 60:40 ratio.
It aims to develop 14,500 schools across India as model institutions.

2. Gyan Bharatam Mission for Manuscript Heritage

Gyan Bharatam Mission was announced by Nirmala Sitharaman in Union Budget 2025–26 to survey, document, conserve and digitise manuscripts.
The National Manuscripts Mission allocation rose from ₹3.5 crore to ₹60 crore.
India has over one crore manuscripts on subjects such as Ayurveda, mathematics and astronomy.
A National Digital Repository of Indian Knowledge Systems is to be created.

RBI proposed letting banks finance domestic and overseas acquisitions by Indian corporates.
