1. e-Raktkosh: Rare Donor Registry Integration with Blood Bank Portal

The Union Health Ministry will integrate the Rare Donor Registry of India (RDRI) with e-Raktkosh.
e-Raktkosh was launched on 7 April 2016 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
It helps patients with rare blood groups and genetic blood disorders.

12. Helium Star A980: IIA Finds Rare Germanium-Rich Star

Scientists at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru, found a rare germanium-rich composition in helium star A980.
It is the first detection of singly ionised germanium (Ge II) in an extreme helium star.
Germanium in A980 is about eight times the solar level.
A980 lies in the Ophiuchus constellation, around 25,800 light years away.

Delhi's government, with IIT-Kanpur and the Department of Environment, planned its first cloud seeding pilot against severe winter air pollution.
Chemicals used include silver iodide, potassium iodide, dry ice and rock salt.
Cloud seeding has four types: static, dynamic, hygroscopic and glaciogenic.
