1. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara BEV Production Begins in Gujarat

Maruti Suzuki began production of its first battery electric vehicle, the e Vitara.
It is built at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Ltd. plant.
The first batch goes to Europe in August 2025, marking India's entry into mass-scale EV exports.

The National Food Security Act covers up to 75% of rural and 50% of urban people.
Around 80 crore people receive highly subsidised foodgrains under the Act.
