7. India-EFTA TEPA to take effect on 1 October 2025

  • The India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) comes into force on 1 October 2025; it was signed on 10 March 2024.
  • EFTA has pledged USD 100 billion of investment in India over 15 years, expected to create about 1 million jobs.
  • EFTA offers 92.2% tariff lines covering 99.6% of India's exports; India offers 82.7% tariff lines covering 95.3% of EFTA exports.
  • India is EFTA's 5th-largest trading partner, with about USD 24.4 billion of two-way trade in 2024-25.

8. India-UN Capacity Building Initiative: First 4 Projects Begin
