2. PM SVANidhi: Six Years of the Street Vendor Credit Scheme

  • PM SVANidhi began in June 2020 and offers collateral-free loans of ₹15,000, ₹25,000 and ₹50,000 in stages.
  • Vendors get a 7% annual interest subsidy on timely or early repayment, plus digital transaction cashback.
  • Lending is extended to March 2030, targeting 1.15 crore vendors including 50 lakh new ones.
  • SIDBI is the technical and implementation partner and manages the credit guarantee trust fund.

3. ABDM Crosses 90 Crore ABHA Health Accounts: Notes

  • ABDM has generated over 90 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHAs); it was launched in September 2021.
  • The mission is run by the National Health Authority (NHA), which functions under the Union health ministry (MoHFW).
  • ABHA is a 14-digit unique digital health identifier, often called a 'Health Aadhaar'.
  • ABDM rests on six building blocks: ABHA, HPR, HFR, HIE-CM, UHI and NHCX.

4. RBI Gold Sale Report: $12 Billion Sold to Back Forex Assets

  • Bloomberg Economics estimated RBI may have sold about USD 12 billion of gold in the two weeks to 22 May.

5. Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets Launched

  • DFS launched a Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets, developed with the PSB Alliance.
  • It was launched by DFS Secretary M. Nagaraju at a review meeting of public sector banks in New Delhi.
  • One search covers bank deposits, insurance claims, shares and dividends, and mutual fund investments.

8. WPI to Be Phased Out for the New Producer Price Index

  • The government will phase out the WPI over five years and gradually replace it with the Producer Price Index (PPI).
  • From 15 June 2026, DPIIT releases a revised WPI with base year 2022-23 (old base: 2011-12) and a new PPI.
  • New PPI has three sub-indices: Output PPI, Trial Input PPI and Services PPI.

10. Khet Bachao Abhiyan: June 2026 Farm Outreach Drive

  • Khet Bachao Abhiyan ran nationwide from 1 to 30 June 2026, led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

14. BrahMos Missile: India’s Export Deals and Key Features

  • BrahMos Aerospace, formed in 1998 by DRDO and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyeniya, makes the missile; it flies at about Mach 2.8.
