About the programme
The youth summit is meant to engage young leaders in sustainable farming and organic entrepreneurship. APEDA, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, facilitated meetings that connect producers with global buyers seeking certified organic goods. Meghalaya’s well-known products include ginger, turmeric, fruits and specialty spices, supported by its biodiversity and community-led farming. Officials noted that the state saw strong post-pandemic growth driven largely by agriculture.
