  • On 10 March 2025 IndusInd Bank disclosed derivative portfolio discrepancies expected to hit net worth by over 2%.
  • RBI issued a rare statement calling the bank well-capitalised and financially stable, with no need for depositor worry.
  • CAR was 16.46%, PCR 70.20% (31 Dec 2024) and LCR 113% against a 100% requirement.
  • The share price fell over 24% after the disclosure, closing at ₹685.75 on BSE on 21 March 2025.

8. SEBI Plan: Stock Brokers in GIFT-IFSC via Separate Business Units

  • SEBI proposed letting stock brokers operate in GIFT City's IFSC through a Separate Business Unit without prior approval.
  • The SBU must be ring-fenced, deal only in securities market activity in GIFT-IFSC and keep separate accounts and net worth.
