PMKSY, launched on 1 July 2015, is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and umbrella programme for irrigation, with the motto Har Khet Ko Paani.
The Centre bears 90% for North-Eastern and Hilly states, while other states split costs 75:25 with it.
Three ministries implement it: Jal Shakti, Rural Development and Agriculture.
The 2021-2026 continuation has an outlay of about Rs 93,068 crore against Rs 50,000 crore for 2015-2020.

5. Draft FEM Foreign Investment Rules 2026: RBI Eases FDI Compliance

RBI put out draft foreign investment rules under FEMA for public comment until 31 August 2026.
The draft would replace the 2019 NDI Rules and favours broad principles over detailed prescriptions.
FEMA procedures would be kept apart from sector conditions that sit in the government's FDI Policy.
It also lays down conditions for public companies to list directly on overseas exchanges.

NMNF pays an output-based ₹4,000 an acre each year for two years, capped at one acre per farmer.
ICAR's AINP-NF began in 2020-21, with 20 centres in 16 States evaluating 8 cropping systems.
Soil Organic Carbon rose from about 0.90% to 1.15% in Himalayan trials over 2-3 years.
A NITI Aayog report found about 91.2% of adopters saw better yield and soil health, and 90.1% saw lower input costs.

ePlane Company, a Chennai startup incubated at IIT Madras, revealed e200X (PT-01), India's first full-scale eVTOL prototype.
