  • Pilots: Budni block (Sehore) and Khategaon block (Dewas) in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Planning runs at three levels: family, gram panchayat and block.
  • Five features: family saturation, convergence, integrated farming, Lakhpati Didi and rural infrastructure with value addition.

15. Incremental CRR (iCRR): How RBI May Drain Liquidity

  • The RBI may impose an incremental CRR before raising the repo rate, to make monetary transmission work better.
  • CRR is the share of NDTL that banks hold with the RBI, earning no interest.
  • Incremental CRR applies only to the rise in deposits over a specified period.
  • On a ₹200 crore deposit rise, a 10% iCRR requires ₹20 crore to be kept with the RBI.
