Cabinet approves Rs 4,250 crore packages for Assam and Tripura

The Union Cabinet approved four new components under the Central Sector Scheme of Special Development Packages, to deliver on peace agreements reached with several groups in Assam and Tripura.

About the packages
Assam components will be implemented over five years from 2025-26 to 2029-30, and the Tripura component over four years from 2025-26 to 2028-29. The beneficiaries are Adivasi, Dimasa, ULFA, NLFT and ATTF communities in historically underserved tribal and ethnic regions.
