2. Arunachal’s First Commercial Coal Mine Opens at Namchik-Namphuk

Arunachal Pradesh began its first commercial coal mining at Namchik-Namphuk, Changlang district.
The block holds about 1.5 crore tonnes of reserves in the Upper Assam coal belt.
Commercial mining arrived through the 2015 Coal Mines Act and began in 2020.

India ended the World Para Athletics Championships with 22 medals, its most successful campaign there.

12. India Adds Nearly 17 Crore Jobs in Six Years

Employment in India reached 64 crore 33 lakh in 2023-24.
The 2017-18 level was 47 crore 50 lakh, according to the Labour and Employment Ministry.
The net gain over six years was 16 crore 83 lakh jobs, or nearly 17 crore.
The report's headline also put the unemployment rate at 3.2%.
