Maximum mutual fund exit load falls from 5% to 3%.

SEBI told the Bombay High Court that listed companies must disclose Deeds of Family Settlement under LODR.
Such disclosure creates no binding obligation on the company.

4. SEBI automatic window to ease FPI registration

SEBI approved an automatic window with a simplified, largely automated registration route for certain FPIs.
FPIs at least 75% owned by foreign governments, or regulated in their home jurisdictions, are eligible.
The reform follows equity outflows of over ₹83,000 crore since July 2025.

6. AI Monsoon Forecasts for Kharif Farmers: MoAFW’s m-Kisan Initiative

MoAFW used AI for farmer-centric monsoon forecasts, a first-of-its-kind initiative.
It combined Google's Neural GCM with ECMWF's AI Forecasting System (AIFS).
Forecasts reached 3.8 crore farmers in 13 states via m-Kisan SMS, up to four weeks ahead.

7. Isobutanol Blending with Diesel: India Begins Trials

India is testing diesel blended with 10% isobutanol; the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) is doing the evaluation.
Isobutanol is a four-carbon alcohol with energy content closer to diesel and little water absorption.
Ethanol harms diesel engines and pipelines through corrosion and water absorption.
India has reached 20% ethanol blending in petrol ahead of schedule.

Cyrtodactylus vanarakshaka is a newly described bent-toed gecko from Dima Hasao district, Assam.
It lives on forested slopes of Jatinga in the Barail Hills.
It belongs to the Cyrtodactylus khasiensis group.
'Vanarakshaka' is Sanskrit for 'forest protector', honouring the Assam Forest Department.
