1. BTR Assam: 21 GI Tags and Bodoland Territorial Region Basics

21 traditional products of Assam's Bodoland Territorial Region received GI tags.
BTR was created under the Bodo Peace Accord of January 2020, replacing BTAD, with Kokrajhar as headquarters.
Accords: 1993 created the Bodoland Autonomous Council; 2003 set up BTAD; 2020 formed BTR.

IRDAI Chairman Ajay Seth said on 30 June 2026 that initial Bima Sugam products should arrive by end-September 2026.
Priority products are motor, health and term life insurance; the Bima Sugam website went live in September 2025.
Bima Trinity has three pillars: Bima Sugam (marketplace), Bima Vistaar (rural composite cover) and Bima Vahaak (women agent network).
Insurance Amendment Bill 2025 allowed 100% FDI in insurance, up from 74%, without an Indian JV partner.

10. Hydrogen Train: India Tests ICF-Built Jind-Sonipat Unit

Indian Railways has tested a hydrogen-powered train developed at the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.
It will soon run between Jind and Sonipat in Haryana.
A 1-MW PEM electrolyser at Jind supports the project.
The train can carry 2,638 passengers and reach 110 km/h with a 1,200 HP engine.
India will be the fifth country with hydrogen trains after Germany, France, Sweden and China.
