Sunrise Festival: Arunachal to Host First Edition at Dong Village

Arunachal Pradesh has announced its first Sunrise Festival, to be held at Dong, the village that claims India’s earliest sunrise, as part of a push for tourism.

About Dong village
Dong lies at an elevation of 1,240 metres and is the easternmost village of India, the first place in the country to see the sun each day. It sits close to the tri-junction of India, China and Myanmar. Better airports under the UDAN scheme are improving connectivity to the Northeast and border areas.
