About the programme
Boeing leads production in partnership with the Australian government. About 70% of components are made in Australia, and the manufacturing is in Toowoomba, Queensland. The drone is named after a local bat species known for agility and strength, and the project is linked to defence arrangements such as AUKUS and regional concerns in the Indo-Pacific.
