1. 150 Years of Vande Mataram: Year-Long Celebration Launched

The PM inaugurated year-long celebrations of 150 years of Vande Mataram on 7 November 2025.
Bankim Chandra Chatterjee wrote it on 7 November 1875 and it appeared in the journal Bangadarshan.
It was later included in his novel Anandamath (1882) and set to music by Rabindranath Tagore.
On 24 January 1950, Rajendra Prasad said Vande Mataram would share equal honour with Jana Gana Mana.

2. Indian Hockey Centenary: 100 Years of Organised Hockey Marked

The Indian Hockey Federation was established on 7 November 1925, a year after the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
The centenary event was held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, on 7 November 2025.
India won six straight Olympic golds from 1928 to 1956 and 13 Olympic medals overall.
India's lone Hockey World Cup title came in 1975 at Kuala Lumpur.

3. DAY-NRLM: Ethiopia to Adopt India’s Rural Livelihood Model

Ethiopia announced it will adopt India's DAY-NRLM model to fight rural poverty and empower women economically.
NRLM began in 2011 under the Ministry of Rural Development, replacing SGSY, and was renamed DAY-NRLM in 2016.
The mission has mobilised 10.05 crore rural women into 90.9 lakh SHGs across 28 States and 6 UTs.
₹11 lakh crore collateral-free credit has gone to SHGs, with a 98% repayment rate.

IBBI proposed that CIRP bidders disclose their Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO).

Gogabeel Lake in Katihar district, Bihar, became India's 94th Ramsar site.
Bihar now has six Ramsar sites.
It is a natural oxbow lake in the Trans-Gangetic Plains, between the Mahananda and Ganga rivers.
The lake is an important wintering ground on the Central Asian Flyway.
Endangered birds recorded include the Black-bellied Tern and Lesser Adjutant Stork.
