Cotton Corporation of India reforms at Reform Utsav 2026, Hyderabad

The Ministry of Textiles said the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) will present its reforms in the cotton sector at Reform Utsav 2026 in Hyderabad, Telangana, on 6 October 2026. Silk sector achievements were also highlighted.

- The CCI reforms span procurement, farmer registration, digital slot booking, direct payments, quality checks, traceability and cotton sales.
- Kapas Kisan digital platform: moves farmer registration, slot booking and procurement messages online and supports Aadhaar-enabled payments, making the process simpler and more transparent.
- Kasturi Cotton Bharat: a branding effort for premium Indian cotton, built on contamination control, digital traceability and better positioning in home and export markets.
- High-Density Planting System (HDPS): promoted with farm institutions to close yield gaps and raise farmers’ returns.
