2. Bullet train: 480 m Sabarmati river bridge completed in Ahmedabad

  • A 480-metre bridge over the Sabarmati river on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor has been completed, the Railways Ministry said on 3 October 2026.
  • It has 8 circular piers, five 76 m spans and two 50 m spans, and stands about 36 m high.
  • It was built with the balanced cantilever method, which needs no scaffolding under the deck.
