Why in the news
A fortnight-long outreach campaign, the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, was announced for late May to mid June 2025 to take farm science to the field.

- Launched by: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development.
- Period: 29 May to 12 June 2025.
- Vision: strengthen the farm base for a developed India by 2047.
- Partners: 16,000+ scientists and 731 KVKs (Krishi Vigyan Kendras).

- Food security for 1.45 billion people.
- Better nutrition and higher farmer incomes.
