About the Statement on Developmental and Regulatory Policies
This statement is released together with the monetary policy and carries measures outside the interest rate decision. The October 2026 statement had items under two heads: Regulation (the Account Aggregator measure) and Financial Markets (the new committee). The committee is meant to give market participants a regular channel to share views on policy and operations in markets the RBI oversees.
