On 12 October 2025 the Prime Minister started a farm mission for districts that lag behind.

- 100 districts picked by NITI Aayog; priority to women, youth and FPOs.
- 117 indicators track yield, storage, irrigation and market access.
- Tools: IoT sensors, drones, precision farming, AI dashboards.
