  • RBI's Master Directions on exchange of notes and coins took effect on April 1, 2026, consolidating earlier guidelines.
  • Every bank branch, not only currency chest branches, must serve customers and non-customers.
  • Soiled notes get full value; mutilated and imperfect notes get an adjudicated value (full, half or zero).
  • Essential features include issuing authority, guarantee clause, Governor's signature, portrait or emblem and watermark.

6. NMP 2.0: Brownfield Asset Monetisation Phase Two Explained

  • NMP 2.0 identifies fresh brownfield assets worth over ₹5 lakh crore for private investment.

  • RELIEF (Resilience and Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) has a ₹497 crore outlay under the Export Promotion Mission and is run by ECGC Limited.
