Why in the news

The Union Commerce and Industry Minister released LEADS 2025 in New Delhi and honoured the winners of the LEAPS 2025 Awards. LEADS is the yearly yardstick for logistics performance of all States and UTs.

LEADS gives States an evidence base to spot logistics bottlenecks, pick reforms and lower logistics costs, improving competitiveness. Public ranking spurs competitive federalism, while shared best practices support cooperative federalism.
