About ITLA
Transport in India is handled by separate ministries for roads, railways, shipping and civil aviation. ITLA is meant to give a single evidence-based view so that projects in different modes complement rather than duplicate each other, and so that logistics costs can be planned down using common data.
Exam angle
- Remember the full form ITLA and its SPV structure.
- Note the Rs 500 crore appraisal threshold and the 10+ year master plan horizon.
- Link NTDR data sources (e-way bill, FASTag, Vahan) with digital public infrastructure questions.
