At the 28th UPU Congress in Dubai, India won another term on both the Council of Administration (CA) and the Postal Operations Council (POC).
About the UPU
- Specialised UN agency, main forum for postal cooperation; second oldest international body after ITU.
- Founded 1874 under the Treaty of Bern; HQ Berne, Switzerland; 192 members.
- Aims: smooth mail exchange, modern and affordable services, growth in parcels and postal finance.
