The National Statistics Office (NSO) of MoSPI released the Index of Services Production (ISP) for July 2026 on 30 September 2026, showing broad-based growth across service activities.

About the Index of Services Production

MoSPI launched the ISP as a new monthly indicator on 14 July 2026. It is meant to give timely signals on short-term trends in services, which make up more than half of India’s GDP, and to sit alongside the Index of Industrial Production (IIP). It is released with a lag of roughly 60 days. Sub-sectors include trade, transport, banking and insurance, telecom, hotels and restaurants, real estate and professional services; health and education are to be added later.
