On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Navsari district, Gujarat. He launched two state schemes for rural livelihoods, G-SAFAL and G-MAITRI.

About Lakhpati Didi
A Lakhpati Didi is a self-help group member whose household earns at least Rs 1 lakh a year, averaging over Rs 10,000 a month. Five Lakhpati Didis received certificates at the event. Nationwide, more than 10 crore women are in over 90 lakh self-help groups.
