- India's first overseas Atal Innovation Centre opened at IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi.
- It falls under the Atal Innovation Mission, implemented by NITI Aayog.
- 72 AICs back 3,500+ start-ups; over 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs exist.
3. MCD Property Tax Portal for Factory Owners Launched
- Municipal Corporation of Delhi launched an integrated property tax module portal for factory owners.
- Purpose: simplify and speed up the licensing process through one unified single-window application.
- Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh inaugurated it at the Civic Centre.

4. Adi Sanskriti digital platform for tribal art launched
- The Tribal Affairs Ministry launched the beta of Adi Sanskriti on 10 September 2025.
- It has three parts: Adi Vishwavidyalaya, Adi Sampada and Adi Haat.
- It aims to become the world's first Digital University dedicated to tribal culture and knowledge.

5. RBI Banknote Microsite: indiancurrency.rbi.org.in Launched
- RBI launched indiancurrency.rbi.org.in, a dedicated microsite on Indian banknotes.
- It replaces the earlier microsite paisaboltahai.rbi.org.in.
- Features include 360-degree banknote views, videos, audio, animations, interactive games and a banknote exchange section.
- The site aims to improve currency awareness and help curb counterfeiting.
6. PhonePe, MSME Ministry and SIDBI Push Udyam Sign-ups
- PhonePe, the MSME Ministry and SIDBI joined hands to bring more small merchants onto Udyam.
- SIDBI had already built the Assist Platform for simpler registration.
- Udyam replaced Udyog Aadhaar and needs Aadhaar, PAN and GSTIN.
7. SEBI FPI Rules for Government-Bond Investors From Feb 2026
- Revised SEBI rules for government-bond-only FPIs apply from 8 February 2026.
- Such FPIs need not give investor group details.
- RBI introduced the Fully Accessible Route in April 2020.
8. EPFO 3.0: Bank-Like PF Services Under Review
- EPFO's Central Board of Trustees was to discuss EPFO 3.0 on 10-11 October 2025.
- EPFO 3.0 proposes partial PF withdrawals through ATMs or UPI.
- Minimum monthly pension may rise from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500-2,500.
9. Yes Bank AoA Changes Approved by RBI for SMBC, SBI Nominees
- RBI approved Yes Bank's proposed changes to its Articles of Association.
- SMBC can nominate 2 directors and SBI can nominate 1 director to the board.
- Any change in board structure or director powers at a private bank needs RBI approval through AoA amendments.
10. DeFi explained: blockchain finance and security worries
- DeFi is a blockchain-based system for saving, borrowing and investing without traditional banks.
- Roots: Bitcoin (2009); Ethereum (2015) and DAOs expanded it.
- Experts fear misuse for terror financing and money laundering, as wallets need no KYC.
11. MF-VRA: AMFI’s Proposed Voluntary Retirement Account
- AMFI proposed MF-VRA, modelled on the U.S. 401(k).
- Voluntary; employers may contribute and employees may match.
- Possible Section 80C deduction; portable across jobs.
12. SEBI Eases Norms for Private InvITs, REITs and Portfolio Managers
- SEBI cut the minimum allotment lot for privately placed InvITs to Rs 25 lakh.
- Related-party units count as public only if held by Qualified Institutional Buyers.
- Portfolio managers need a Form C certificate with the Board-specified disclosure format.
13. ICRA Warns on SME Lending Risk, Says Deposit Rates Bottomed
- ICRA raised concern over lenders' exposure to the SME sector as a potential risk area for the banking system.
- ICRA said bank deposit rates have bottomed out.
- Further cuts in deposit rates are unlikely if RBI keeps policy rates unchanged.
14. bob Aspire NRE Savings Account: Bank of Baroda for Future NRIs
- Bank of Baroda introduced the bob Aspire NRE Savings Account for prospective NRIs.
- It is aimed at Indian citizens planning to move abroad for work, business, education or other long-term reasons.
- Its distinctive feature is that an NRE account can be opened from India before departure.

15. India Unlikely to Frame a Dedicated Crypto Law, Plans Partial Oversight
- A government document of September 2025 indicates India is unlikely to bring a dedicated law for cryptocurrencies.
- India will instead keep partial oversight of crypto assets.
- Two reasons: the risk of lending legitimacy to crypto, and the difficulty of regulating decentralised transactions.
- No standalone crypto statute is planned at present.

- On 10 September 2025 scientists reported possible signs of ancient microbial life in a Perseverance rock sample.
- The Sapphire Canyon sample came from the Bright Angel formation in Jezero Crater.
- Minerals flagged were vivianite and greigite; the findings appeared in Nature.
18. SSLV Technology Transfer: ISRO Signs Deal with HAL
- ISRO and HAL signed an SSLV technology transfer pact on 10 September 2025.
- SSLV has three solid stages and a liquid Velocity Trimming Module.
- The rocket is about 34 m tall and 2 m wide.
19. Aspergillus Fungi: New Species from the Western Ghats
- MACS-Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, under DST, discovered two new Aspergillus section Nigri species in the Western Ghats.
- Two other species were reported in India for the first time.
- Black aspergilli are called workhorses of biotechnology, used in citric acid production and fermentation.
