2. PM-SETU Scheme: Nationwide Rollout Across 200 ITI Clusters

  • MSDE approved nationwide rollout of the ₹60,000-crore PM-SETU scheme across 200 ITI clusters on 7 July 2026.
  • Strategic Investment Plans worth ₹1,237.58 crore were cleared for 5 clusters in Odisha, Gujarat and Telangana.
  • PM-SETU is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme co-financed by the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

8. PRAGATI Initiative: 20,000 Agri Entrepreneurs Plan Launched

11. UDISE+ 2025-26: School Education Data Highlights

  • UDISE+ 2025-26, out on 7 July 2026, records 14.67 lakh schools, 1.03 crore teachers and 24.72 crore students.
  • Students per teacher: foundational 10, preparatory 12, middle 17, secondary 21 - all better than the NEP 2020 benchmark of 30.
  • Dropout rates fell to 1.8% (preparatory) and 7.0% (secondary); women make up 54.9% of teachers.
  • UDISE+ began in 2018-19 as the successor to UDISE.

15. Bukhman International Booker Prize: Prize Doubled to GBP 100,000

  • The International Booker Prize is to be renamed the Bukhman International Booker Prize after Bukhman Philanthropies.
