The Supreme Court reaffirmed secularism as part of the Constitution's basic structure.
Freedom of religion is guaranteed under Articles 25-28.

On 21 September 2025 the UK, Canada, Australia and Portugal recognised the State of Palestine.
On 22 September France, Monaco, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra and San Marino followed.
Canada, France and the UK became the first G7 members to recognise Palestine.
157 of the 193 UN member states now recognise Palestine, about 81%.

ICAR launched Maitri 2.0, the second Brazil–India agritech cross-incubation programme, in New Delhi.
India and Brazil's partnership is described as 77 years old, including BRICS and G20 cooperation.
Maitri 2.0 is meant as a two-way learning platform for co-creation by Indian and Brazilian innovators.

11. Asteroid 2025 PN7: Earth’s Newest Quasi-Satellite

2025 PN7 was discovered on 2 August 2025 by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope at Haleakala Observatory, Hawaii.
It is in a 1:1 resonance with Earth but is not gravitationally bound to it.
The asteroid is about 19 metres across.
It is reported as Earth's seventh known quasi-satellite and belongs to the Arjuna class.
It is expected to stay a quasi-satellite for 128 years.

CPCB's 2023 assessment uses BOD as the key indicator; BOD above 3 mg/litre means unfit for bathing.
There were 296 polluted river stretches on 271 rivers in 2023, down from 311 on 279 rivers in 2022.
Maharashtra had the most polluted stretches at 54, ahead of Kerala (31).
