1. Indigenous Td Vaccine: Nadda Launches CRI Kasauli Jab

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda launched an indigenously made Tetanus and Adult Diphtheria (Td) vaccine.
The vaccine is made by the Central Research Institute (CRI), Kasauli.
It will be supplied under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP).
55 lakh doses are to be supplied by April 2026, with output rising later.
UIP provides 11 vaccines against 12 vaccine-preventable diseases.

2. India-A Beat Bangladesh-A to Win Women’s Rising Stars Asia Cup

India-A defeated Bangladesh-A by 46 runs in a low-scoring final to win the ACC Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars.
Tejal Hasanbis scored an unbeaten 51 off 34 balls on a slow turner.
Leg-spinner Prema Rawat starred with the ball as India-A defended their total.

India is replacing the uniform deposit insurance premium with a risk-based premium (RBP) tied to each bank's rating.
Earlier every bank paid 12 paise per ₹100 of deposits; proposed rates run from 8 paise (A) to 12 paise (D).
Cover, now ₹5 lakh per depositor per bank, may rise to about ₹15 lakh.

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency issued a USD 197.67 million guarantee to Citibank N.A.
It backs refinancing of State Bank of India's rooftop solar programme.
It allows refinancing of the remaining USD 500 million IBRD loan.
The step creates room for extra World Bank financing in India.

11. Merchandise Trade Indices Base Year Shifts to 2022-23

Commerce Ministry moved merchandise trade indices to a 2022-23 base, replacing 2012-13.
Prof. Nachiketa Chattopadhyay headed the recommending committee.
