About the bodies
- IORA: regional intergovernmental group of 23 members, set up in 1997; secretariat in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Focus areas include trade, fisheries, maritime safety, disaster management, tourism and blue economy.
- Indian Ocean Dialogue: IORA’s flagship Track 1.5 forum mixing officials, scholars, think tanks and industry; IOD-10 marked a decade.
