The government has named Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal, a former judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as the new head of the National Company Law Tribunal. The appointment was cleared on 30 April 2026.

About the NCLT

The NCLT is the tribunal that deals with corporate law disputes, and its President is its administrative and judicial head. Justice Grewal also served as Additional Advocate General for Punjab and as senior panel counsel for central government cases from November 2009.
