Why in the news

The Union Law Ministry cleared DISHA 2.0, a revamped access-to-justice scheme, on 22 June 2026. It was approved by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal.

About DISHA 2.0

DISHA stands for Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice, a Central Sector Scheme. The first phase for 2021-26 reached over 2.37 crore beneficiaries across 31 states and union territories. The new phase supports Articles 14, 21 and 39A of the Constitution and Sustainable Development Goal 16.
