Bank in a Box: Amit Shah Launches Tech Platform for UCBs

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah opened the new Mumbai premises of the National Urban Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC) during the ‘Sahkar Nav-Kranti’ programme, and launched new technology support for urban cooperative banks (UCBs). DD India reported the event on 9 August.

About NUCFDC
NUCFDC is an umbrella organisation for urban cooperative banks. It has been capitalised with more than Rs 306 crore and serves nearly 1,400 UCBs, of which about 650 (roughly half) have joined. Its headquarters is to move from Delhi to Maharashtra, which has 449 UCBs.
