About osteoporosis

Osteoporosis makes bones thin and fragile, so they break easily. One fragility fracture roughly doubles the chance of another, with the highest risk in the first one to two years. IOF is pressing for wider access to DXA scans, reimbursed treatment and Fracture Liaison Services in hospitals.
