On 5 October 2026 the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) said its citizen-centric Sanchar Saathi portal had crossed 30 crore visits since it was launched in May 2023.

About Sanchar Saathi
Sanchar Saathi is a DoT (Ministry of Communications) initiative launched in May 2023 to protect mobile users from telecom misuse. It lets citizens report suspected fraud calls and messages through Chakshu, check the mobile connections issued in their name, block and trace lost or stolen phones, verify the genuineness of a handset through its IMEI, and report international calls that appear with Indian numbers.
