3. Soil Health Card Scheme: Aims, Working and Benefits

  • The Soil Health Card Scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 19 February 2015 at Suratgarh, Rajasthan.
  • It is run by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to give farmers soil nutrient information.
  • Soil samples are typically collected every 2 years and tested for pH, N, P, K, micronutrients and organic matter.
  • The Soil Health Management System (SHMS) lets farmers see soil results and recommendations online.

5. Sebi Information Ratio: Daily MF Disclosure Explained

  • Sebi introduced daily disclosure of the Information Ratio for all mutual funds, effective three months after the circular.
  • IR = (Portfolio return - Benchmark return) / Tracking error.
  • AMFI will collect AMC-published IRs, standardise them and provide them in downloadable form.
