India hosted the ninth Deputy National Security Adviser-level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) in virtual mode on 30 September 2026.

About the Colombo Security Conclave

The CSC began in 2011 as a trilateral maritime security arrangement of India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Mauritius and Bangladesh joined later, and Seychelles moved from observer to full member. Its five pillars are:

  1. Maritime safety and security
  2. Countering terrorism and radicalisation
  3. Combating trafficking and transnational organised crime
  4. Cyber security and protection of critical infrastructure
  5. Humanitarian assistance and disaster relief

The seventh NSA-level meeting took place in New Delhi on 20 November 2025, hosted by NSA Ajit Doval.
