Phase 2 of Niveshak Didi starts in April 2025, taking financial education to rural, semi-urban and tribal areas.
About Niveshak Didi
- Community-based programme using trained women postal workers as educators.
- Run by IEPFA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) and IPPB (Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications).
- Aims: financial literacy, safe saving, digital banking skills and fraud protection.
Phase 2 plan
- 40,000+ women postal workers trained; 4,000+ new camps.
- Curriculum: savings and investment basics, IPPB digital tools, cybersecurity.
- Offered in 13 languages; over 60% of Phase 1 beneficiaries were rural women.
Exam angle
- Phase 1: 2023; Phase 2: April 2025.
- Bodies: IEPFA (MCA) and IPPB (DoP).
